Sipalay, Negros Occidental is accessible via Dumaguete, Bacolod and Cebu. Here’s a blog on getting to Sipalay from cebu to help you plan your trip.

In Cebu City, head to South Bus Terminal and look for a bus en route to Sipalay. I’ll have to verify the schedule first.
From Cebu South Bus Terminal, ride a bus bound for Liloan/Sibulan Port (Santander). Bus fare is Php 250 (AC bus) and Php 180 (ordinary bus). Travel time is 3.5 hours. At Liloan Port, board a fast craft to Sibulan (Negros Oriental). Fare is Php 62 including the terminal fee. Travel time is about 25 minutes.
Outside Sibulan Port, board a multi-cab to Dumaguete City. Fare is Php 13.
At Dumaguete city center, board a bus to Sipalay. If you miss the direct bus, ride a bus en route to Hinobaan. Fare is Php 189 and travel time is roughly 3 hours.
Or you may ride a bus to Bayawan. Fare is Php 125 (ordinary) or Php 200 (A/C). Travel time is about 2.5 hours.
At Bayawan, transfer to a Hinobaan-bound bus, fare is Php 80 and travel time is about 1.5 hours. From Hinobaan, transfer to a Sipalay-bound bus, fare is Php 33 and travel time only takes 45 minutes.
At South Bus Terminal in Cebu City, you can ride a bus to Bato (Cebu). At Bato, board a ferry to Tampi, Amlan (Negros Oriental). Ferry fare is Php 70 per person. In Tampi, the Ceres bus will continue to Dumaguete.
In Dumaguete, you can board a bus direct to Sipalay. It leaves at 1 PM daily. Fare is Php 280.
Or, if you miss the direct bus to Sipalay, board a bus to Hinobaan. Fare is Php 189 and travel time is around 4 hours. At Hinobaan, transfer to a bus to Sipalay. Fare is Php 33, travel time is about 45 minutes.
Also, at Dumaguete, you can opt to ride a bus to Bayawan. Fare is Php 125 (ordinary) and Php 200 (AC), travel will take 2.5 hours approximately.
Once you are in Bayawan, switch to a bus bound for Hinobaan, fare is Php 80 and travel time is approximately 1.5 hours.
Then in Hinobaan, transfer to a bus bound for Sipalay, fare is Php 33 and travel time is about 45 minutes.
At North Bus Terminal in Cebu, you can ride a direct bus to Bacolod. Travel time is about 4-5 hours.
In Bacolod, switch to a bus to Sipalay. Fare is Php 180, travel time is roughly 4 hours. There is only one direct bus to Sipalay from Dumaguete daily and it leaves at 1:00 PM, fare is Php 290.
If you miss the direct bus to Sipalay, you can catch the bus to Hinobaan. Fare is Php 180 and travel time is approximately 4 hours. From Hinobaan, transfer to a bus to Sipalay. Fare is Php 33, travel time is about 45 minutes.
We took this route since we initially planned to tour Bacolod.
From North Bus Terminal in Cebu, take a bus bound for Toledo and alight at Toledo Port. A/C bus fare is Php 83, travel time is about 2 hours.
At Toledo Port, go inside the port building and purchase a ferry ticket to San Carlos. Fare is Php 100 (slow ferry) or Php 180 (fast craft).
At San Carlos, take a tricycle or pedicab to the bus terminal. Fare is Php 8 to Php 10 per person. Board a van or bus bound for Bacolod via Don Salvador. Fare is Php 180 (ordinary bus) and travel time is about 3 hours.
In Bacolod, transfer to a bus bound for Sipalay, fare is Php 180, travel time is around 4-5 hours.
If you miss the direct bus to Sipalay, transfer to a bus en route to Hinobaan and alight at Sipalay. Fare is Php 180. Then switch to a bus to Sipalay. Fare is Php 33.
