The view rivals the cuisine at Cafe Terraza, situated on a hilltop at El Circulo Convention Center, a popular setting for all kinds of events and business meetings on Pueblo de Panay. It’s at the right height to really appreciate Roxas cityscape as it offers a 360 degree view of the metropolis.
Pueblo de Panay is the latest CBD of Northern Panay located in a 400 hectare mixed-use and integrated development in Roxas City. It is set to become a “City within the City” which will feature the best of the history, art, architecture and culture of Panay. A commercial business district housing a Special Economic Zone, eco-tourism areas and educational and recreational facilities will soon rise here.
Open cottages stand shoulder to shoulder at Café Terraza where locals and tourists can dine while enjoying the view. Meanwhile, tables and chairs are sprinkled on the spacious lawn beside the hallway, where one can also grab a seat and eat.
WHAT'S IN THIS BLOG POST?
By day, the view stretches from the green hills to the bustling city center crowned by Roxas City Cathedral. At night you can see the flickering light from the houses and buildings below.
Cafe Terraza serves Asian, Western and Filipino cuisines. During our recent visit to Roxas City in Capiz courtesy of Las Islas Travel and Tours, we sampled some traditional dishes like sinigang , grilled pork, calamares, bangus sisig. But my personal favorite is the seafood kare-kare.
Other dishes you can try at Café Terraza are adobong pantat (catfish), asado na pata and pork sisig. Since Capiz is known as the the Seafood Capital of the Philippines, don’t miss the seafood on the menu of Café Terraza like the baked oysters and buttered oysters.
For dessert, try their inexpensive cakes such as cheese cake, carrot cake, blue berry cheesecake and red velvet cake.
