Banana Peel, one of the Philippine’s leading flip flops brands, believes in the value of connecting deeply with its consumers and in making a stand on issues that drive positive change in the community. Embracing these two values drive Banana Peel to consciously create products that are environment-friendly and only uses safe materials.
Beyond the workplace, Banana Peel’s commitment to help drive positive change in the community comes to life by actively engaging and supporting projects on sustainable development. Since 2013, Banana Peel has been working with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Philippines) by creating WWF flip flops collections to support project on marine life preservation and forest and wildlife conservation.
This year, Banana Peel continues its long-standing partnership with WWF-Philippines through exclusive Earth Hour collection, featuring glow-in-the-dark straps and vibrant animal prints. Furthermore, purchase of the Earth House collection flip flops is able to help provide solar lamps to families in the remote and off-grid town of Monreal, Masbate. The solar lamps allow the families in Monreal access to a sustainable and safe alternative source of light.
“Banana Peel is privileged to be given the opportunity to support WWF. As the product becomes available in our stores, we are able to educate and encourage consumers to choose earth beyond Earth Hour. We would like to be part of the movement that inspires more generations to be stewards of the earth,” said Paul Ng, CEO of the Neat Inc, Banana Peel.
Banana Peel slippers 2016 Earth Hour collection comes in six designs for women and five designs for men, with each pair priced at Php 42o for women’s collection and Php 440 for men’s collection. More information is available at www.bananapeel.net.
